Today at 5 p.m., the Prime Minister Internship Scheme 2024 registration process will open. This program, which was first mentioned in the budget for this year, provides 12-month internships to assist young people in gaining practical experience in actual corporate settings.
In an effort to increase young employability, the prime minister of India recently unveiled the PM Internship Scheme 2024, which offers paid internship opportunities all throughout the nation. The program, which was unveiled at the Union Budget of 2024, will provide internships to one crore young people over the course of the following five years, placing them in 500 of India’s best businesses. This ambitious initiative intends to close the skills gap between academic knowledge and real-world work readiness, particularly for unemployed adults in the 21–24 age range.
Since its launch in October 2024, the pilot program has attracted a lot of interest, with organizations such as Mahindra & Mahindra, Jubilant Food, L&T, Reliance, TCS, ONGC, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki and Max Life providing internship opportunities. 1.25 lakh internships will be available for the fiscal year 2024–25 alone, with registration open from October 12 to October 25, 2024.
The program also provides a 12-month paid internship with a ₹5,000 monthly stipend; participating companies contribute ₹500 and the government funds ₹4,500. Additionally, under programs like PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, interns will receive insurance coverage and a one-time award of ₹6,000 for incidental expenditures.
Who can apply under PM Internship Scheme 2024 ?
- The youth age should between 21 to 24(as on the last date of form submission).
- Candidate should be Indian, who are not employed full time and not engaged in full time education.
- Candidate enrolled in online/distance learning programmes are eligible to apply.
- Educational Qualification – candidates who have passed 10th , 12th, ITI Diploma, Polytechnic Diploma holder, or are graduates with degrees such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma etc. are eligible.
Ineligibility Criteria – The following persons are eligible to participate for this scheme:-
- Graduate from IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, IISER, NIDs, and IIITs.
- Those having qualifications such as CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA, any master’s or higher degree.
- Those undergoing any skill, apprenticeship, internship or student training programme under Central Government or State Government Scheme.
- Those who has completed apprenticeship, training under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) or National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) at any point.
- If the income of the any family members of the candidate exceeds Rs 8 lakh for FY 2023-24.
- If the any family member of the candidate is a Government employee can not apply under this scheme.

The shortlisted candidate will hear from us between October 27, 2024, and November 7, 2024. The chosen interns’ internships will start on December 2, 2024.
